BBL rules for 2019-2020:

  • 12s and under have to be in year 7 and under in school the year the league starts
  • 13s-17s will be year 8 up to the first year of sixth form or 1st year of college
  • Novice under 12s league will be up to year 7 in secondary school.  You will have to have been breaking for under 2 years, depending on your skill level.
  • Winning a regional British Breaking League event will earn you a place in the Grand Slam Final
  • You have to be a member of the British Breaking League to have a chance of winning the League or to take part in the Grand Slam and Kids British Championship
  • You will gain three points once you make the top 16 (or top 8 depending on the numbers for each regional event.)
  • You do not have to do every British Breaking League event if you don't want to.
  • Even though it's called the British Breaking League, anyone from the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland can join.
  • The Kids British Championship is a separate event from the British Breaking League.  This event will be a global championship in 2019.
